District Collector Sumith Kumar felicitating Kattamanchi Govardhan Bobby, South Zone Chairman of the All India Food Processors’ Association, at the Collectorate in Chittoor on Saturday. | Photo Credit: BY ARRANGEMENT Kattamanchi Govardhan Bobby, who recently assumed charge as the South Zone Chairman of the All India Food Processors’ Association (AIFPA) for a second term, called on district Collector Sumit Kumar on Saturday (March 28, 2026). The Collector congratulated Mr. Bobby and felicitated him with a shawl at the Collectorate here. During the meeting, Mr. Sumit Kumar discussed the need to strengthen coordination between farmers and the food processing industry to improve value addition and market linkages. He said that the district administration would extend support for related initiatives. Mr. Bobby said that he would work to protect the interests of mango farmers and the pulp industry sector. Association members Talupulapalli Babureddy, Sivakumar, and Sivareddy, along with other representatives of the food industries, were also present.
