Filing of nominations for all eight Assembly constituencies in the district for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will begin on March 30.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) had announced the polling schedule on March 15, following which the Model Code of Conduct came into force. Nominations can be filed between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from March 30 to April 6. However, owing to government holidays, nominations will be accepted only on four days — March 30, April 2, April 4, and April 6.

Candidates can submit their nomination papers to the Returning Officers at their respective constituencies. While Erode (East) nominations will be received at the Corporation Central Office, those for Erode (West) will be filed at the Revenue Divisional Office (RDO). Nominations for Modakkurichi, Perundurai, Bhavani and Anthiyur constituencies will be received at the respective Tahsildar offices. For Gobichettipalayam, the venue is the RDO, and for Bhavanisagar, the Tahsildar Office in Sathyamangalam. Scrutiny of nominations will be taken up on April 7, and April 9 has been fixed as the last date for withdrawal.

Officials have marked the 100-metre limit on roads and installed surveillance cameras at the centres to monitor the process. Elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate the filing of nominations. Counting of votes will be taken up at two centres in the district on May 4, 2026.
