Former president of Karur District Congress Committee Bank K. Subramani on Saturday said that Karur MP S. Jothimani should not have made statements on social media when TNCC leaders were holding seat-sharing talks with DMK. Objecting to her crtiticism that TNCC president K. Selvaperunthagai had failed to ensure transparency in seat-sharing talks, Mr. Subramani told reporters here that she had the habit of criticising TNCC presidents, whoever might be in the post, without any substance. It had dented the image of the party among the people. If she had any grievances, she should take them up with relevant cells of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). It was wrong to issue statements when TNCC leaders, accompanied by AICC observers, were holding talks with the DMK for finalising the seats.
