WoW Awards 2026: The Hindu celebrates women across various fields

At The Hindu Group’s World of Women (WoW) Awards 2026, themed “Breaking Ceilings. Reaching for the Skies”, women from multiple spheres and sectors were honoured across thirteen categories of awards from healthcare to rural development on Friday, celebrating their broad list of achievements, while also acknowledging the barriers that they have broken along the way.

The World of Women Awards is more than a platform of recognition since it is a celebration of purpose and perseverance, said Nirmala Lakshman, Chairperson, The Hindu Group. “Each category represented, whether it is leadership in business, innovation in entrepreneurship, contribution to society, advancements in health and education, excellence in sports, or impact in arts and culture — tells a powerful story of courage, determination, and vision,” said Ms. Lakshman, adding that from those driving change at the grassroots level to those influencing industries and institutions, each journey is unique yet united by a common thread of strength and intent.
