Police Commissioner Shankabratha Bagchi and GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg viewing the advanced laser guns at a programme in Visakhapatnam on Friday. In a major step towards strengthening road safety and tackling speeding, the city police have introduced two advanced speed laser guns to intensify enforcement against reckless driving under the Commissionerate limits. The equipment, valued at approximately ₹18 lakh, was procured through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support from the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC). The initiative was facilitated by GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg following a proposal from Police Commissioner Shankabratha Bagchi. Both officials unveiled the devices during a meeting at the Police Conference Hall on Friday.
