Of them, four persons underwent major surgeries, while two patients, who suffered 15% to 20% burn injuries, and the remaining with dislocated bones were under observation. “All the patients are stable and out of danger. Four patients, who underwent surgery, are recovering well. We are waiting for the orders from the district administration to discharge the two children, whose parents died in the accident,” GGH Superintendent Dr. S. Manikya Rao told The Hindu. The passengers with severe injuries were admitted to the hospital on Thursday afternoon and the surgeries were performed by 8 p.m. Most of the passengers suffered head injuries, fractures, and spinal injuries. Only one patient, whose liver was ruptured, is also recovering well, he said. Meanwhile, Ministers Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and Gottipati Ravi Kumar visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the passengers on Friday. Mr. Ravi Kumar assured that the government would provide all possible assistance to the victims and their family members. He instructed the doctors to provide the best health care services to the victims.
