A 46 year-old man with criminal antecedents was hacked to death by unknown assailants in the wee hours of Friday, on Thokkottu Flyover in Ullal Police limits. Police gave the name of the victim as Arif Hussain alias Tablet Arif, resident of Mullugudde in Uchhila-Someshwara. Earlier too, an attempt was made on his life in 2022, police added. A rowdy sheet was opened on him in Mangaluru South Police Station, according to Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy.
