A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus carrying 21 passengers and crew caught fire near Lulu Mall in Bengaluru late on March 26 night. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 10.20 p.m. when the bus was en route from Majestic to Shivamogga. Flames were first noticed from the lower portion of the bus. Passers-by alerted the driver, prompting him to immediately halt the vehicle and evacuate all passengers. Within moments, the fire intensified and engulfed the bus. Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames. No injury or casualty was reported. Police and transport officials are assessing the cause of the fire, and the extent of damage to the vehicle.
