Man arrested for killing mother

The police on Thursday arrested K. Chinnapothiyan on the charges of murdering his mother. It is said he killed his mother following an argument.

The police said Chinnapothiyan, a daily wager, was staying with his parents Katturaja and Alagammal in Chettipatti. On Wednesday evening, an argument broke out between Chinnapothiyan and his mother while they were at home. Enraged, he picked up a stone and hurled it at his mother. Alagammal died on the spot and Chinnapothiyan fled the place.
