The South Central Railway (SCR) will run a special train passing through Nandyal for the convenience of those attending ‘Deeni Ijtema’ scheduled to be held at Kopparthy in Kadapa district from January 23.

Nandyal MP and TDP deputy floor leader in the Lok Sabha Byreddy Shabari said the SCR would run the special train between Cherlapalli in Telangana to Tiruchanur in Tirupati district. Train no. 07140 Cherlapalli-Tiruchanur will start at Cherlapalli on January 22 and reach Nandyal at 5.30 a.m. passing through Nizamabad, Warangal, Vijayawada, and Guntur. From Nandyal, the train will leave to Kadapa and reach Tiruchanur.

In the return direction, Train no. 07141 will start from Tiruchanur at 11.30 p.m. on January 25 and reach Kadapa at 3 a.m., Nandyal at 6.50 a.m., and finally Cherlapalli via Guntur, Vijayawada, Warangal and Nizamabad.

The special train will benefit those from Nandyal visiting the Ijtema, said Ms. Shabari and thanked the SCR officials for running the special train.
