With annual revenue generated from the Coimbatore Railway Junction exceeding ₹345 crore, additional platforms are required to handle increasing traffic, J. Sathish, Director of Kongu Global Forum, said. Modernised terminal buildings have to be constructed, and enhanced amenities and seamless connectivity have to be ensured for improved passenger experience, Mr. Sathish emphasised, seeking introduction of more premium and high-speed train services.
