The Dharwad Rural Police have solved the murder of Raju Bolashetty, son of former MLA Baburao Bolashetty of Bailhongal, with the arrest of three people, including a woman and a minor boy. Superintendent of Police of Dharwad Gunjan Arya has given the names of the accused as 32-year-old Munera Sherif Dillunaika and 26-year-old Mrutyunjay Devappa Kambar, apart from the minor boy, all residents of Bidaragaddi in Bailhongal taluk. The police found Raju Bolashetty charred to death in a burnt car in a field near the railway track in Rampur village of Dharwad taluk on March 24. Taking up investigation, the police have been able to crack the case based on technical and nontechnical evidence and arrested the accused. Primary investigation revealed that the murder was committed elsewhere and the body and the car were burnt in a bid to destroy evidence. Investigation revealed that it is case of vengeance.
