Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh each to the families of the deceased. He directed officials to provide financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each to those who were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident. He termed the incident ‘deeply distressing’ and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families. He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident. Announcing financial assistance, Mr. Modi stated that an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, while those injured will receive ₹50,000. The compensation will be disbursed from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Jagan seeks probe YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the tragedy. Conveying his condolences to the bereaved families, he urged the government to provide immediate financial assistance and ensure advanced medical care for the injured. He further demanded a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible, stressing the need for stronger road safety measures. BJP State president P. V. N. Madhav termed the incident “heart-wrenching,” especially as victims included women and children. He urged party cadres to assist victims and called on the government to extend full support. CPI(M) State secretary V. Srinivasa Rao conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and urged the government to provide immediate relief and medical assistance to the injured. He expressed concern over the increasing frequency of bus accidents, alleging lapses in preventive measures, and demanded a thorough investigation into the causes of the mishap.
