The daytime temperatures are likely to be above normal in most parts of Kerala on Friday (March 27, 2026). According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday, maximum temperatures are very likely to be around 38°C at isolated places in Kollam, Kottayam and Palakkad districts; 37°C in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Kannur districts; and 36°C in Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram, and Kasargode districts (2 to 3°C above normal) on Friday. Hot and humid weather is very likely to prevail over these districts, except in hilly areas on the day. Meanwhile, summer showers are likely across the State from Friday as a trough in easterlies runs from Marathwada to south interior Karnataka across north interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level. Under the influence of the system, isolated thundershowers are likely for the next four days, said the bulletin.
