In a unique awareness initiative to ensure 100% voter turnout, Thoothukudi District Collector and District Election Officer K. Elambahavath on Thursday distributed invitations placed on traditional plates to members of the public, urging them to cast their votes.

As part of these efforts, to increase the voter turnout, an innovative awareness programme was held in Thoothukudi on Wednesday. The event was organised by the district administration with “Magizhvitthu Magizh,” foundation has distributed invitations at the Smart City bus stand.

Mr. Elambahavath personally distributed invitation cards to passengers, employees of commercial establishments, drivers and conductors present at the bus stand, urging them without fail.

The Collector also pasted voter awareness stickers on buses, two-wheelers and auto-rickshaws stationed at the bus stand.
