Telangana BJP leaders — party president N. Ramchander Rao, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, and Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Legislature Party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy — have expressed shock at the bus accident in Markapur, Andhra Pradesh, in which 13 people were killed and 22 injured on Thursday. In separate statements released to the media, the party leaders noted that the bus had started the journey from Nirmal in Telangana and appealed to the AP Government to provide all the necessary medical assistance to the injured and expressed their condolences to the families of the bereaved. While ex gratia has been announced to the victims, they urged both the Telugu States Governments to take steps to prevent such accidents in the future.
