Bangalore University held the Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Saksham Workshop, a first of its kind workshop, on Wednesday. The workshop provides training in prompt engineering, website development, and system development. Students receive hands-on experience with various AI tools, including NotebookLM, Canvas, Lovable, Google Studio, n8n, and Gamma, enabling them to gain practical skills in the field of AI. Addressing the inaugural session as the chief guest, Khushboo G. Choudhary, Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, highlighted the growing importance of AI in shaping the future. She stated that AI is not just a tool, but a powerful technology that supports human skill development and opens new opportunities for students. She emphasised that students and teachers must understand and adopt emerging technologies in this rapidly changing world. She encouraged students not to fear AI, but to use it responsibly and effectively for learning, research, and innovation. Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies, she noted, will help build confidence and prepare students to face future challenges. Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (RUSA), Ministry of Education, Government of India, advised students to go beyond basic usage of AI tools but instead use them for research, exploration, and knowledge creation. He noted that effective use of AI by students and teachers can lead to meaningful innovations in the future. Jayakara S.M., Vice-Chancellor, Bangalore University, encouraged students to think beyond seeking jobs and focus on becoming job creators. He highlighted that Artificial Intelligence is creating new opportunities, and students must equip themselves with relevant skills to shape their own future.
