Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday said 30,075 children from economically backward sections were allotted free seats in private unaided schools in the first phase lottery results under Section 12 (1) (C) of the Right to Education Act.

Mr. Rao in a press release said that the final list of the first phase lottery results for 25% free admissions in private schools for the academic year 2026-27 was released on Wednesday. Of the 54,647 applications received from across the State, 54,016 students were found eligible. In the first phase lottery 30,075 students residing within 1 km radius of schools, had been allotted seats. He said the details of selected students have been sent to parents via SMS and are also available on the official website https://cse.ap.gov.in/.

Mr. Rao said the selected students must confirm their admissions by visiting the allotted schools between March 26 and April 7, along with documents including the Aadhar card of the student, mother or father, income certificate, caste certificate, birth certificate of the student, ration card, sibling’s Aadhaar (if applicable) and study certificate.

Second phase results on April 12

Mr. Rao said the second phase lottery results, for students residing within 5 km radius, will be released on April 12. “School managements have been instructed to verify documents and grant admissions accordingly,” he said, warning of strict departmental action against schools that deny admissions to the ‘beneficiary’ children without valid reasons.

He said admissions would be monitored and confirmed through dedicated logins provided to the Additional Project Coordinators (APCs) of Samagra Shiksha at the district level. For any queries, school managements may contact the respective Mandal Education Officer, District Education Officer or Regional Joint Director.
