Sri Sathya Sai district police on Wednesday (March 25) launched the construction of a new police station building in Lepakshi town, with Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar performing the groundbreaking ceremony.

The SP attended as the chief guest and, along with Deputy SP (Hindupur) K.V. Mahesh and donor Balaji, participated in traditional rituals marking the commencement of the project.

The SP said that the new building will be equipped with modern facilities to improve the efficiency and accessibility of police services. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Satish Kumar said that the initiative aims to deliver more effective and citizen-friendly policing.

He announced that a circle office serving Lepakshi and Chilamathur mandals will be set up on the upper floor of the building. The proposed shift of the existing circle office from Hindupur to Lepakshi is expected to bring services closer to the public.

The SP lauded Mr. Balaji for supporting the project through the CSR funds. Revenue and police officials attended the event.
