An APSPF constable died while on duty at the upper reach of the Srisailam dam in Nandyal district on Wednesday (March 25) after being attacked by a swarm of bees. The deceased, Veeraswamy (45), was part of the security deployment in the area. Police said he came under a sudden bee attack while on duty. As he tried to move away, he collapsed, reportedly due to a cardiac arrest. Minister for Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy, in a statement, conveyed his condolences to the family and described the death as tragic. He said the government would extend support to the family.
