Hyderabad is set to host the World Buddhist Peace Conference 2026, an international gathering aimed at promoting peace and cultural exchange, with events scheduled between March 27 and March 29 across the city and Buddhavanam in Nagarjunasagar. The conference aims to enhance international recognition for Buddhavanam by showcasing it as a Buddhist Heritage Theme Park. It also seeks to encourage Buddhist countries to establish monasteries and educational institutions at the site, thereby boosting tourism and attracting visitors from India and South-East Asia.
