A flying squad has seized 4,971 stainless steel plates from a Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam functionary’s house near Udangudi. Following information that gifts had been kept ready in the house of E. Thamizh Selvan, 32, of Puthumanai Kottavizhai near Udangudi to be distributed to the voters, flying squad led by Esakki Pandi raided the house on Sunday. The officials found 4,971 stainless steel plates engraved with ‘Whistle’, the symbol of TVK. The gifts, packed in five bags, were seized. Subsequently, the Kulasekarapattinam police have registered a case in this connection.
