DMK Youth Wing Secretary and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, in a meeting with party youth wing members of Dindigul and Theni districts on Tuesday urged them to work towards achieving 100 % success in the Assembly elections.

Addressing the party members in Dindigul, he said due to the hard work of the party youth wing they were able to achieve 100 % success in the Parliamentary elections. He urged the members to continue their hard work to achieve 100 % success in the Assembly elections.

He said the DMK government has fulfilled not only what was promised but also what was not promised. It has implemented various welfare schemes for the benefit of the people.

Ahead of the elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were visiting Tamil Nadu. However, the Central government schemes and funds were not reaching the people of the State.

The BJP believes it can gain a strong foothold in Tamil Nadu by aligning with the AIADMK. The BJP’s tactics and tricks will work in North India but not in Tamil Nadu, he said, adding that the AIADMK-BJP alliance will face a crushing defeat in the upcoming Assembly elections.

In Bihar, the BJP sidelined 10-time Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and seized power through backdoor channels. If such is the fate of a 10-time CM, one can imagine the fate of AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, he said.

He said the DMK would emerge victorious in the upcoming elections and for that the cadre had to work hard. He urged them to meet the people and explain the party’s principles, ideology and welfare schemes being implemented by them to gather support. Through the collective effort, they should win all 11 Assembly constituencies in Dindigul and Theni districts, he said.

Ministers I. Periyasamy and R. Sakkarapani and others were present. Later, the flying squad inspected the vehicle of the Deputy Chief Minister at Kodai road toll plaza.
