A district-level committee has been constituted in pursuance of the Government Order (G.O.) to ensure complete eradication of the orderly system in the Police Department. The G.O. is in compliance with the Madras High Court Order, 2014, that directed abolition of orderly system within four months. Further, in pursuance of the order, the Court had once again in 2026 directed an end to the practice. In compliance, the Government had issued a G.O. directing the district-level committees to abolish the system at all levels across the State. According to Collector C. Dinesh Kumar, the committees will periodically review the implementation of the orders and ensure strict compliance by all police units. Any aggrieved police personnel forced into performing such orderly duties, that has been deemed abolished, may approach the committee with a complaint, who then shall examine the complaint and take necessary action as per rules. Further, the government has strictly instructed all officials to adhere to the code of conduct. This measure aims to uphold the dignity, professionalism and welfare of the police personnel and to ensure police officers are strictly used for official duties related to public service and maintenance of law and order. Any aggrieved police personnel may address the complaint to the District Collector, Collectorate, Krishnagiri, or alternatively forward complaint on WhatsApp on 9445008141 or 04343-239200, or through email on pagkgi@gmail.com.
