Theni Collector Ranjeet Singh inspected the distribution of Form 12 D for postal ballot to the elderly people and the differently abled persons. Senior citizens aged 85 years and above and differently abled persons are eligible to cast their votes through postal ballot in the Assembly elections. Booth Level Officers (BLO) are delivering Form 12 D directly to the homes of the voters across all the four constituencies in Theni district: Andipatti, Periyakulam, Bodinayakanur and Cumbum. Once the final candidate list is released, the officials will come to the homes of those who submitted their form to collect their postal votes. People can dial 1950 for further details regarding this process. The main objective is to ensure 100% voter turnout, according to a press release.
