Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) launched a newly developed web portal titled “Stree Raksha – Police Protection for Every Home” to strengthen women’s safety in the district.

The SP said that this web portal will make it easier to collect and monitor safety-related information from all areas of the district. Complaints registered on the portal will immediately reach the SP through a dedicated special control room as well as the nearest police station, enabling quick response and faster resolution of issues.

Under this initiative, police station staff and designated women police personnel from villages/wards will visit every household. They will help register women’s safety concerns through the Stree Raksha portal at the respective local police stations.

Through the “Stree Raksha” programme, the district police aims to create a safer environment for women and ensure police protection reaches every household, the SP said. This digital platform is expected to improve coordination between the public and the police, making the safety system more efficient, he added.

The SP emphasised that this initiative is a significant step towards enhancing women’s safety and called for active cooperation from the public. The programme was attended by Tadipatri ASP Rohit Kumar Choudhary, Trainee IPS officer Aswin Manideep, and women police personnel from the city.
