A 62-year-old man was arrested by the Commissioner’s Task Force and Kulsumpura police for running an illegal pickle manufacturing unit under unhygienic conditions in Venkatesh Nagar, Jiyaguda. The accused, identified as K. Ravinder, was found to be producing a range of pickles without a valid licence at his premises in Jiyaguda. Officials said the unit used low-quality raw materials and unsafe preservation methods, including storing stale mangoes and lemons with rock salt.
