In connection with the Assembly elections, the anti-defacement squad removed 10,391 illegal campaign materials during inspections in the district. From government premises, a total of 9,929 items were cleared, including 326 wall writings and 7,114 posters and banners. From private properties, 462 items were removed, comprising 87 posters, 80 banners and flex boards, and 295 flag festoons.
