The tentative cost of the project spanning 5.5 km is ₹940 crore, and the report is being submitted to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) for in-principle approval, Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy told the Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad on Tuesday (March 24, 2026). The project was likely to be included in the MoRTH annual plan 2026-27, and work on preparing the detailed project report (DPR) would begin once it was included.
