Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure law and order during the upcoming IPL 2026 cricket matches scheduled on March 28 and April 5 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, said City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh. The police have issued a public advisory with the tagline “Cheer responsibly, celebrate responsibly.”

Explaining the arrangements at a press conference on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) at the Commissioner’s office, Mr. Singh said that to ease traffic congestion and promote public transport, authorities have introduced a QR code-based e-ticketing system. The ticket includes a metro pass, allowing spectators to commute conveniently across the city.
