Members of women’s group in the Tamil Nadu livelihood Mission showcase Rangolis at Ramanathapuram district Collectorate complex on Tuesday to create voter awareness for Assembly elections. | Photo Credit: L. BALACHANDAR Ramanathapuram District Collector and District Election Officer Simranjeet Singh Kahlon here on Tuesday inaugurated a voter awareness event organised at the Collectorate premises. During the event, the Collector inspected awareness slogans and rangoli art created to educate voters. Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from 11 Panchayat Unions participated by drawing intricate rangolis. The displays carried messages emphasising that voting was a fundamental democratic duty for everyone and that all citizens aged 18 and above must cast their ballots. The awareness campaign aimed to inspire a 100% voter turnout on election day. Additionally, the District Collector launched a signature campaign to promote the importance of universal voting. To further boost engagement, he participated in a voter awareness selfie session.
