A 24-hour control room was set up at Krishnagiri to monitor the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Krishnagiri has 15,57,923 voters including 7,79,594 female voters; 7,78,065 male voters; and 305 third-gender voters. The electorate will cast their votes across 2,092 polling booths and 1,151 polling centres. Flying squads, video surveillance teams and static surveillance teams have been constituted to monitor MCC and inquire into complaints. Election-related complaints may be lodged at 24-hour control room numbers- 1800 425 7076, 04343-225007, 04343-225008, 04343-225009 and 04343-225015. The control rooms calls are monitored round-the-clock by three teams constituted by three Deputy Tahsildar rank officials, and three assistants and headed by nodal officer of the rank of Assistant Director. Earlier, District Election Officer and Collector C. Dinesh Kumar held meeting with all parties on the guidelines that must be followed ahead of the elections.
