India Meteorological Department said on Monday that light to moderate rain/thunder showers likely to occur at one or two places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts for three days from March 25. According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), Uttara Kannada recorded a maximum temperature of 39.9 °C on Monday between 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Udupi district recorded 38.8 °C and Dakshina Kannada saw 38.5 °C maximum temperature during this period.
