The Sangareddy Police presenting the accused along with the seized ganja on Monday. | Photo Credit: MOHD ARIF Three persons smuggling 574 kg ganja worth about ₹2.87 crore were arrested during a joint operation by the Sangareddy district police on Monday, March 23. The accused were identified as Pinku, Pappu Dalai, and Narayana Prasad Behera. Police said they were involved in interstate trafficking of narcotics. Acting on specific information, teams from the Special Narcotics Bureau, CCS, and Sadasivapet police intercepted a car and a truck on the Sadasivapet bypass road. During the search, 287 packets of ganja were found concealed in the truck. Both vehicles were seized along with the contraband. A case has been registered at the Sadasivapet police station and the accused will be produced before the court.
