Various organisations have planned to celebrate Ram Navami by taking out processions, Shobha Yatra, in Kalaburagi on Thursday. The Adi Purush Ramanavami Utsav Samiti will take out a procession featuring an 18 ft tall statue of Lord Rama from Ramteerth Temple on the outskirts of the city. The procession will pass through Aland Check Post, Naka Circle, Super Market and conclude at Jagat Circle, said samiti founder president Mahesh Gobbur. Mr. Gobbur said that a tableau depicting Lord Surya behind the statue of Lord Rama will be showcased in the procession. The procession will conclude at Jagat Circle with Ganga Aarti. Meanwhile, a group of volunteers led by City Corporation councillor Sachin Kadaganchi will also take out a procession from Aland Check Post to mark Ram Navami celebrations.
