ASHOK Transgenders, transmen along with Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) here on Monday went on a rally to condemn the Union Government’s Bill to amend the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019. Stating that the new bill introduced by the Union Government was designed to strip away the right of transgender individuals to affirm their self-identity, Priya Babu of Transgender Resource Centre, said, who gave the authority to the governrnment to determine someone’s gender identity.
