District Court in Sircilla gets hoax bomb threat email

An anonymous bomb threat email sent to the District Court in Sircilla of the Rajanna Sircilla district on Monday prompted an extensive search of the entire premises of the court building by the police, who subsequently declared it as a hoax.

Upon receiving an alert on Monday morning, the police, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, rushed to the District Court and conducted a thorough search of the premises. However, no suspicious objects were found during the anti-sabotage checks, police said.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the court staff, the Sircilla town police have registered a case and took up a detailed investigation to trace the sender of the email.
