Youth stabbed in Salem – The Hindu

A youth was stabbed in a quarrel here on Sunday (March 22, 2026).

According to the police, M. Sandeep (23), a resident of Aranmanai in Thanjavur district, is pursuing second year at a private law college on Yercaud Main Road. On Sunday night, while Sandeep was waiting at the law college bus stop, a two-wheeler hit him, causing a quarrel between Sandeep and the driver. In support of the vehicle driver, Murugan and his son Santhosh Kumar, who runs a fruit shop in the locality, quarrelled with Sandeep, and during the quarrel, they allegedly stabbed him using a knife and fled.
