Kumaraswamy, accompanied by Union Minister of State for Steel Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, on Monday conducted a high-level review of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, signalling the government’s commitment to its revival and long-term growth, according to an official communication. During a tour of key facilities, including the Coke Oven Batteries, Wire Rod Mill and Blast Furnace-3, Mr. Kumaraswamy recorded his observations in the visitor’s book, noting that the plant has a strategic roadmap aligned with the national goal of achieving 300 million tonnes of steel capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070.
