Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Andhra Pradesh, P. Ranjith Basha on Monday (March 23, 2026) reviewed the ongoing evaluation process of the Intermediate public examination answer scripts at the valuation centre—SRR Government Junior College, here. He was accompanied by Controller of Examinations (COE) Simon Victor. Reviewing the valuation procedures, the Secretary emphasised the importance of students’ futures and directed officials and evaluators to maintain the highest levels of transparency, accuracy, and vigilance to prevent any errors in the marking process. As part of the inspection, he visited all sections of the valuation camp and assessed the functioning of different units. In the Assistant Camp Officer (ACO) section, he closely examined the operations, particularly focusing on the systematic distribution and verification of answer scripts. He also observed the evaluation and scrutiny procedures carried out under the supervision of Assistant Camp Officers, ensuring that marks were awarded correctly and that multiple levels of verification were in place. Special attention was given to the Part-III OMR sheet scanning section, which plays a crucial role in recording marks. Mr. Basha reviewed the functioning of high-speed scanners to ensure that there were no technical errors in uploading marks. He also looked at the facilities provided to teachers engaged in valuation work and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements such as drinking water, ORS packets, and other essential amenities, especially considering the summer conditions. The Secretary said that transparency remains the top priority in the valuation process and assured that steps are being taken to complete the evaluation within the scheduled timeframe and release results at the earliest. He noted that the entire process is being monitored under CCTV surveillance to ensure security and accuracy. Later, the Controller of Examinations inspected another valuation centre at Noble College and reviewed the ongoing work there. Camp Officers, Assistant Camp Officers, and BIE representatives participated in the inspection.
