A nine-year-old boy was found dead near the premises of a mosque at Selvapuram in Coimbatore late on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Anas, son of Nazar from north housing unit at Selvapuram. The police said the boy had been studying in Class IV and he used to spend time at Hidhayadul Islam Shafiya Sunnath Jamath on Ramamurthy road at Selvapuram during free hours.
