Ensure transparency in conduct of Census 2027, says Chittoor Collector

District Collector Sumit Kumar highlighted the importance of transparency in the conduct of Census 2027 and directed officials to ensure error-free implementation across Chittoor district. He was speaking at the inauguration of a three-day training programme for field trainers at the Collectorate here on Monday.

The Collector said the census exercise would be conducted in two phases in line with the Central government guidelines. The first phase will cover house listing and housing census with layout mapping, followed by the population enumeration phase.

Training is being given to field trainers from Kuppam, Palamaner, and Nagari revenue divisions for three days. Master trainers, trained earlier at the Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Institute (APHRD), Mangalagiri, will guide participants on the procedures.

The trained personnel will further train enumerators and supervisors at the mandal level. Officials were instructed to complete the process without lapses, Mr. Sumit Kumar said.

Master trainers and teachers from the respective revenue division were present.
