A silent protest with the participants holding placards demanding an end to the West Asia conflict was held at Kumbakonam on March 23 . The protest was organised by the Jothimalai Eraipani Thirukoottam, Kumbakonam, near the Gandhi Park demanding immediate ceasefire of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine. The Thiruvadikkudil Swamigal, S.N.S ikandar, Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Parish Priest, Saint Marys’ Cathedral, Kumbakonam, and others participated in the event.
