Anuradha Jonnalagadda Tadakamalla, the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) | Photo Credit: BY ARRANGEMENT Anuradha Jonnalagadda Tadakamalla took over as the in-charge Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad (UoH), with effect from March 13, the university communicated on Monday (March 23, 2026). B. J. Rao was relieved from the post on March 12, on attaining the age of 70 years and completing his tenure. Ms. Anuradha, the senior-most professor at the university, assumed charge in accordance with the University Acts & Statutes. Having been with the university for over three decades, she served as Head of the Department of Dance and Dean of the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication.
