TNSTC bus to Sirumalai develops snag at ghat; commuters safe and vehicle returns to Dindigul depot

A state run bus from Dindigul to Sirumalai developed a technical snag at the ghat section on Sunday.

According to some passengers, after the bus crew identified the smoke at the 12th hairpin bend, the vehicle was stopped. Even as the driver was engaged in the process of rectifying, the bus reportedly moved in the reverse direction. Fearing trouble, the commuters were asked to step out and in no time, they all got out of the bus.
