Justice must go beyond the mere application of law and must reflect human values, fairness, and accessibility for every citizen, said Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in the city on Sunday.

Speaking at the valedictory function of ‘Needhikkalam 2026 – Jurisprudence for 2047 igniting legal minds for a Developed Bharat’ he said, “While law is a structured framework subject to interpretation, justice is the ultimate goal that must be delivered with compassion and a human touch.”
