Elambahavath inspects the wheelchairs kept ready for elections in Thoothukudi district. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Over 750 wheelchairs have been kept ready across polling centres in Thoothukudi district for the convenience of differently abled voters, senior citizens and individuals requiring wheelchair accessibility. Preparatory works for the upcoming Assembly elections are being carried out intensively across all six constituencies of Thoothukudi, Srivaikuntam, Tiruchendur, Vilathikulam, Ottapidaram and Kovilpatti in the district. Collector and District Election Officer K. Elambahavath has been continuously inspecting polling stations to ensure the availability of basic amenities and safe environment for voters.
