The number of children, from birth to 18, screened and treated for defect at birth, diseases, deficiencies, and development delays (4 Ds) under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) has gradually gone up in Dakshina Kannada in the past five years. If 1,84,124 children were screened and 3,415 treated in 2020-21, the numbers went up to 3,92,672 (screened) and 1,70,284 (treated) in 2024-25.
