A Static Surveillance Team (SST) in Paramakudi Assembly Constituency here on Sunday seized 75 sovereigns of gold jewellery and ₹70,000 in cash, transported without valid documents. During a vehicle inspection near Kamuthi by the SST team led by officer Chandrasekaran, 75 sovereigns of gold jewellery valued at ₹81 lakh were seized from Sasirekha, a resident of Mani Nagar, Paramakudi, for lack of proper documentation.
