Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar on Sunday said that the transfers of constables in Sri Sathya Sai district were conducted through a transparent, counselling-based process.

Speaking to the media, the SP said that a total of 190 constables attended the session held at the district police office. Personnel who had completed five years at a single police station across five sub-divisions were identified and called for counselling.

The seniority list was displayed on a projector along with the vacancy positions across the district. “Before carrying out the orders, we clearly explained the rules and parameters governing transfers to the constables,” Mr. Satish Kumar said.

Based strictly on seniority and established norms, personnel were allowed to opt for postings and were shifted between subdivisions accordingly. The SP said the entire process was carried out transparently, ensuring fairness and clarity. The participating staff expressed satisfaction with the method adopted.

Additional SP Ankita Surana, Administrative Officer O. Venugopal, Special Branch CI Venkateswarlu, and DPO staff were present during the programme.
